The shopping in Puerto Vallarta is a shopper’s paradise – with everything from hand made items starting at $1.00 USD to expensive boutiques featuring designer items and jewelry.  My personal faborates are Trading Company, Bandera’s Bay, La Tienda, Puerco Azul, Safari and Querubines.

Wonder across the hanging foot bridge and explore the Island in the River Cuale which is a shady oasis with shopping and some great restaurants - Le Bistro & the River Café the perfect place to stop for lunch or refreshments. A traditional Mexican Market located along the banks of the River Cuale in the heart of town, between the two bridges are full of small stalls with all the typical wares.  Plan to shop in the morning or late afternoon as many shops still recognize the time honored tradition of Siesta and close from 2-4pm.
