United Airlines Increases Flights to Puerto Vallarta
Tourism recovery is progressing responsibly in Puerto Vallarta, which continues to be a preferred destination for national and international tourists, as proven by booking engines’ travel trends and an increase in the number of flights by major airlines.

In light of the increased demand for flights to Mexican destinations, United Airlines recently announced that it will have a series of new flights to Mexico this summer, highlighting Puerto Vallarta among the most sought-after beaches by potential American tourists.
The airline, based in Chicago, is increasing frequencies to its short-haul international network, adding flights to nearly every destination it serves in Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta, as well as some in the Caribbean and Central America.
United announced an increase of 1,091 flights to or from Mexico between May and October of this year, representing a 20 percent increase compared with the previous scenario at the beginning of the year, which shows the confidence in international travel to nearby destinations in this country, as more people are vaccinated in the United States.
The added flights to Puerto Vallarta will be from Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and Newark.
If the conditions established by the pandemic do not change, the increase in flights to Puerto Vallarta expected by United for June 2021 is as follows: Denver from one to two daily flights, Newark from one to three a week, Los Angeles two weekly to one daily, and Chicago from one week to one daily.
Experts consider that the days of the pandemic are numbered in the United States due to the rapid advance of vaccination against Covid with an average of 2.5 million daily doses. By early July, 70 percent of the population of the U.S. will have antibodies, and herd immunity will have been achieved, which will undoubtedly impact a greater number of trips by North Americans to their favorite destinations, Puerto Vallarta, among them.
