VBG #4 on USA Today’s 2018 ’10 Best Gardens’ List
New York, NY May 8, 2018 – Vallarta Botanical Garden – VBG in Puerto Vallarta has been placed fourth among all botanical gardens. Since it’s opening in 2005, VBG has also won numerous international awards and now appeared in 10Best Readers’ Choice 2018 awards from newspaper “USA Today.”
20 best gardens and arboretums on the continent compete for this prestigious awards and VBG was the only garden in Mexico that was nominated.
In the past, only the gardens in the U.S were high on the list but this time VBGs achievement was marked the second time an international garden placed on the list.
The initial 20 results were picked by the board of specialists in light of their experience and learning. However, the top ten winners were based on population votes led at 10Best site.
Longwood Gardens, in Kennet Square, appears top in public voting; Minnesota Landscape Arboretum got the second place, The Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis ranked third and the Vallarta Botanical Garden takes the fourth place.

About Vallarta Botanical Garden
The garden in Puerto Vallarta Mexico is built on 20 acres and showcase 3,000 different species of plants. The garden is 1,300 feet above sea level and lies within a tropical forest ecosystem. It started in 2004 with the objective to study, explore and conserve native plants from all around the world.
The botanical garden is of great interest for the scientist too as they believe some plant species are not examined thoroughly.
The internationally famous Vallarta Botanical Garden is located on the south of Old Town at 24 Km on highway 200. It offers the visitors exquisite sceneries and wildlife.
