WestJet’s Winter Schedule Connects Vancouver to Mexico’s Beaches
Canadian airline WestJet has announced its winter schedule from Vancouver, featuring six sun-soaked beach destinations in Mexico.
Departing from Vancouver International Airport, the new routes include Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo (starting from December), Mazatlán (starting from November), and Huatulco (starting from October). Additionally, there will be extra flights to Cancún, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta on the updated schedule.

WestJet’s winter schedule will see a 14% boost in capacity, solidifying its position as the leading airline from Vancouver to Mexico. This development emphasizes the airline’s commitment to serving the ever-growing demand for travel between these two destinations.
Moreover, starting in December, WestJet passengers residing in the Greater Vancouver area will have more travel choices. Abbotsford International Airport will serve as an additional launch point, facilitating flights to Puerto Vallarta and San José del Cabo.
Mexico is among the most popular winter getaways for Canadians, ranking second only to the United States as a major source of tourism. In the final two months of the 2022-2023 winter season, Mexico welcomed 3.6 million international air travelers, marking a staggering 135.3% surge compared to the previous year. Among these, 656,293 visitors arrived from Canada.
