“If there was ever a good time to celebrate the joy of traveling, that time is now,” said Condé Nast Traveler in announcing the start of the award voting period. “The survey, a pioneer in the tourism industry awards, celebrates the best in travel and tourism today – a way of life that fills us with a passion that has become especially important to us these days. The winners are selected in their entirety by the readers through their votes.”
ENroute Communications is a New York-based public relations agency that has conducted several award-winning campaigns in which the primary objective was to encourage readers to vote for their nominated clients. This includes Merida, which placed first, and Puerto Vallarta, which placed fifth, on last year’s list of “The World’s 10 Best Small Cities” as chosen by Condé Nast Traveler readers.
In 2017, Puerto Vallarta was among the Readers’ Choice Award winners in the travel magazine’s “Best Cities in the World” and “20 Best Small Cities in the World” categories.
Previously, San Miguel de Allende, a client of Enroute Communications, became the first destination to be recognized as the “Best Small City in the World” for two consecutive years, 2017 and 2018, by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.
